Nine exposition areas will be set up in 2005 Shanghai International
Science and Art
Exposition, demonstrating the perfect combination of science and
art in different
fields.
1).The gallery of academicians: Famous painters of Shanghai Artists
Association will
demonstrate the personality charm and spirit of academicians in
the form of art.
2).Secret exploration in the universe: the splendid achievements
made by mankind while exploring the universe space.
3).Digital era: digital technology brings artistic pleasure to human
life and provides technological means for people to create the art
in life.
4).Microcosmic world: mysterious microcosmic world under microscope
5).Art of science fiction: adolescents’science fictions that
are full of imagination
6).Brainpower robots: vivid dynamic demonstration of brainpower
robots
7).Science popularization picture exhibition of farmers from Jin
Shan: color pictures drawn by farmers from Jin Shan to show that
technology prospers agriculture
8).Science popularization photography exhibition: to record the
science and art beside one self by using camera
( 2 ) Forum
All forms of forum will be held during the same period of 2005
Shanghai International Science and Art Exposition, discussing
the development orientation of science and art and other related
fields. The forum will be divided into three themes:
1.“Science and Art”Forum: the conversation between
scientists and artists about how to conduct innovation cooperation.
2.“Science and Life” Forum: how to popularize technological
knowledge and technology into daily life, how can new technology
become industrialized and market oriented so as to improve people’s
living conditions and the quality of life.
3.“Art and Life” Forum: how to distinguish and collect
artwork, how to enhance art appreciation ability, how to capture
the art in life through technological products, how to show the
details in life in the form of art.
( 3 ) Award Appraisal
To encourage and boost the development of science and art, 2005
Shanghai
International Science and Art Exposition will appraise all the
artworks and award
prizes.
A. The overall criteria of prize appraisal
1). It should fully demonstrate the rich imagination of the combination
of science and art, using the unification of truth, goodness and
beauty as benchmark.
2). It should show the aethetics of scientific work, meanwhile,
show the accuracy and the modernization of its representation
method.
3). It should attach importance to the effective combination and
creative exploration of new scientific technology and artistic
thoughts.
4).It should demonstrate the originality and experimentation of
the artwork’s representation method under the theme of “Science
and Art”.
5).It should accord with the spirit of mankind’s long term
development and advocate peace, progress and unification.
B. Appraisal Method
1). All the artworks participated in the exposition will be appraised
by both visitors’vote and experts’appraisal.
2). Shanghai Association for Science and Technology, Shanghai
Artists Association and the organization committee of Shanghai
Science and Art Exposition will issue award certificates and medals
for all the award items.
3). All the artworks participated in the exposition are the object
to be appraised in this exposition.
4). The appraisal will be based on the principles of justice and
equity. The organization committee of Shanghai Science and Art
Exposition reserves the right to explain the appraisl criteria.
C. The setting of award items
1). Science and art innovation prize: 5
Appraisal criteria: completely accords with the 5 overall appraisal
criteria above, the artwork possesses quite good art elements
and profound scientific meaning, or it boasts innovative representation
form.
2). Science and art application achievement prize: 5
Appraisal criteria: accurately demonstrates the theme of the combination
of science and art and technological products or application technology
that are recognized by the market.
3). Science and art excellent artwork prize: 10
Appraisal criteria: basicly accords with the overall appraisal
criteria, having certain science and art meaning.
4).Science and art excellent organization prize: 10
Appraisal criteria: actively cooperat and support all kinds of
work of this exposition, those companies who make outstanding
contribution while selecting artworks and participating the exposition.
( 4 ) Tour exposition
The excellent exposition artworks of 2005 Shanghai International
Science and Art Exposition will be exhibited in other cities during
the year and will conduct communication and interaction with those
cities.
